ColpoITPro is an independent and totally self-contained video capture software product that works with various Colposcope brands giving video signal as Composite Video or S-Video output or BNC or DVI or HDMI or HDSDI. Video output is captured via a video capture card installed in the system running ColpoITPro software and the images/videos are stored/retrieved/managed by the software.
ColpoITPro helps in documenting critical Colposcopy procedures according to WHO standard including Biopsy marking, Reid Index score, Swede score, library image comparison etc… ColpoITPro supports useful features like Acetic Acid/Iodine solution test timer function, DICOM image conversion, DICOM send/receive from PACS, HIS/HMS integration using HL7 protocol and much, much more.

Colposcopy Imaging

High Definition Capture
ColpoITPro software connects to HD colposcopy & systems (DVI/HDMI/HD-SDI output) and allows recording videos/images in HD resolution (720p/1080p) with 50/60fps. It uses excellent video compression technology (H.264) with best playback quality. HD images/videos can be edited for presentation, training and reporting purposes.
ColpoITPro software supports with wide range of USB camera devices which attached with mobile colposcopy equipment, It has API customization module to receive signals from such USB colposcopy units like Point grey, Sony, NET Camera, etc.
DICOM Support
Store Colposcopy images, videos in DICOM format. Generate colposcopy reports in PDF and DICOM format. Further it can be sent to the PACS server.
Customizable report templates
ColpoITPro software has predefined templates for the Colposcopy procedures, every report template has the finding libraries where the user chooses the findings instead of typing manually. Also users can customize their own templates in their regional languages. Microsoft word interface reporting facility will give more flexibility in the customization.
Modified Reid Index
ColpoITPro software has in-built the latest modified Reid Index for the doctors to track the reporting findings and generate Reid score for knowing the infection severity. Reid’s Colposcopy Index (RCI) is a systematic, objective method in colposcopy to grade the severity of pre-malignant cervical lesions. Final report file automatically indicates the selected Reid index objectives and the respective score description.
Swede Score
The Swede Score is a new scoring system in colposcopy with score values 0, 1, 2 as the RCI but includes lesion size as the additional variable. It is simple to use, with no major learning curve, can be used easily by any colposcopist. The selected swede score options will be printed in the final report file for future reference.
Image Comparison
ColpoITPro has more than 300+ standard library images with descriptions which can be compared with the actual study data. Images are categorized into three stages CIN 1, CIN 2 and CIN 3. Selected images can be added to the library for future reference as per the user’s need.
Biopsy Marking
ColpoITPro software has in-built graphical abstract module to mark the colposcopy findings in graphic format. User can choose one of the colposcopy study image from the database and do the biopsy marking for better understanding during training sessions. The final report file prints the marked graphical image along with the report findings.
HL7 Complaint
ColpoITPro software readily integrates with Hospital Management System (HMS). Follows international standards like HL7 or DICOM MWL. It has wide range of versions support in HL7 protocol. It provides bi-directional communication to get patient data from HMS / RIS and send captured data back to the server for centralized storage. It can handle ORM / ADT messages for various activity like New order, Order Cancel, Order update etc.
Client-Server Architecture
Connects multiple procedure client systems with the centralized database access. Scalability to increase the number of client systems, which can be used as standalone and synchronized with centralized server. Dedicated viewer license can setup the registration or reporting station where user can have only patient’s registration part or reporting work separately from the capturing client.
Image / Video Editing
In-built image editor with annotation tools will helps to mark important findings on the captured images. Similarly the built-in video editor will crop the important video portions from the recorded video clip for presentation purposes.
Intelligent Image Cropping
ColpoITPro software has image cropping facility to mask unwanted portions from the images. This feature enables to avoid from printing the black portions in the endoscopy images. User selects either Rectangular or Circular cropping tool to mask the unwanted area from the captured image. This saves printer ink cost and gives elegant view in the reporting print.
Statistical Data Analysis
ColpoITPro stores all the user input’s values in the database including the report findings and later it allows to generate statistical data analysis report based on various criteria like “Procedures done in specific period, Number of procedures done by doctors wise, Patients registered based on particular finding like “CIN1”. Create different types of graphical charts based on the statistical report generated from database.
Visit Compare
ColpoITPro software stores patient data in multiple visits based on date wise. Easy to retrieve the images, videos and reports quickly, the visit compare feature loads patient data from two different visits in side-by-side interface. User can review those images quickly and the videos can be playback simultaneously. It helps to the patient for understanding the treatment curve.

DirectX Runtime (9.0c or higher) & Dot Net Framework (installed automatically if not present).
Hardware Requirements:
- Intel Core i3 or i5 or i7 Processor with 4 GB RAM (8 GB recommended for HD)
- 500 GB or 1TB Hard disk space for HD video recording purpose.
- Monitor/ Screen Size – Minimum 15.6” with HD display.
- Audio input device like Audio headset is required for recording audio data.
- A color printer (Deskjet or Laser printer) is required to take report printouts.
- A DVD/CD read/write enabled drive is required to write image data to DVD/CD disk. Bluray preferred for HD.
- Minimum 4 USB 2.0 ports (for Dongle, CaptureCard, Printer and footswitch).
- PCIe slot for internal HD card or USB3.0 port for external HD card. (needed only for HD edition)
- Network card & proper LAN network connectivity for DICOM/ PACS support.
